Round 1, Race 8: Nustar Superstars vs The Red Cross Wave Riders.
Race 8 of Round 1 saw the Red Cross Wave Riders (supporting The British Red Cross) up against the Nustar Superstars team, who were supporting Claire House Children’s Hospice. For both team this was their first time in a dragon boat so it could have been anybody’s race. As it was, neither team was willing to let the other have the lead, with both team crossing the finish exactly half a second apart!

Round 2, Race 18: The Red Cross Wave Riders vs CHP Evolution
Race 18 of Round 2 saw the Red Cross Wave Riders again, this time up against CHP Evolution (supporting The Anthony Nolan Trust). In what turned out to be a very fast and close fought race with the teams being urged on by screaming and cheering crowds, both boats crossed the line less than a quarter of a second apart with everyone wondering who had won!
