Each dragon boat will hold up to 16 team paddlers plus a drummer and every team must have a drummer (who can always be borrowed from another team).
The helmsperson who stands at the back of the boat and steers will be supplied by Dragon Boat Events Ltd., our specialist suppliers.
Reserve team members are permitted.
Dragon Boats will go just as fast with 12, 14 or 16 paddlers, so don't worry if you think you will be disadvantaged because you don't have a large team.
Each team will race a minimum three times (conditions on the day permitting) and your single fastest time only to count for qualification into the Grand Final.
All races will be timed and each race result will go up on our leader board at Event Control so you can compare your team times against the other competitors.
The Grand Final will be a spectacular 'Race to the Finish' using all the available dragon boats and the day will finish with an Award Ceremony where our own 'Olympic' style medals will be presented to each member of the top three teams, along with a team trophy to remind them of the day.
This year's supported charity:
A proportion of all corporate enteries will be dontated to Marie Curie Cancer Care
