The Minor Final

This year's Minor Finalists were the Wheatsheaf Waiders in lane 4 (red boat), The Fire Breathing Dragons in lane 3 (Green boat), the Albion Marines in lane 2 (blue boat) and the team from Watkinson Black in lane 1 (yellow boat). With just three seconds separating all three teams, we knew it was going to be close.

All four team shot off together, with nothing in it at the start ... or the middle. Another amazing race was underway and even nearing the finish it was still anyone's race. With just feet to go the boys from HMS Albion squeezed into the lead, taking first place by just 0.31 of a second from the 2005 Chester champions, the Wheatsheaf Waiders. Third placed were the Fire Breathing Dragons in lane 3 at just 0.45 of a second later whilst a highly commendable forth were the Watkinson Black accountant's team a quater of a second behind them.

"Crews are you ready?"

  "GO !!!"

It looks like a definate

4, 3, 2, 1 ... but that is just a trick of perspective.

The yellow line on the left hand side of the picture is the finish, and clearly you can see the order 2, 4, 3, 1.

(If you are looking for the number 3, it fell off down the course!)

However, if you look at the positions of each drummer, you can see the finish order better.
